Making Money Online - Why Are People Making it Harder Than it Has to Be? by Edward Lomax

Are you thinking about starting an online business to tap into the incredible amount of money being spent on the Internet? Or, are you someone who has tried and failed and think making money online is a fools dream?

In my opinion, there are only three types of people when talking about an online business...

-Those that haven't tried...
-Those that have tried and failed...
-And those who have succeeded!

And no, I didn't miss one... "Those that don't want one" is not an option. Honestly, who wouldn't want an online business that makes them money from the comfort of their own home?

So why are there so many frustrated people who haven't made any money online?

I think the failure rate is two-fold:

-People make things harder than they have to be... -And this means it takes too long to see their first paycheck.
And that is why most people give up without making a cent online. And usually they spent money so it is really a losing deal.
Let's keep it simple...
To make money online you need to do two things.

-You need to have an offer online. (You need to be offering something that leads to money in your pocket. This can be either an affiliate product, your own product or a product you bought rights to).

-You need to drive traffic to that offer. (You need to put your offer in front of people who could use it).
That's it!

Now, assuming you are not offering something that no one wants, like "Pink Sweaters For Green Frogs", then you will make money eventually. Send people who could benefit from whatever it is you are offering to the offer page, and someone WILL buy.

Then it just becomes a numbers game. On the Internet, the average conversion rate of an offer is 1%. If you send 100 people to your offer, you can expect 1 sale. Of course, this is not written in stone, but humor me.

So, if you figure you need to make 10 sales a month to pay for your new car... send over 1000 people who would be interested in your offer. See how simple that is?

So, why aren't you making any money online?

Get an offer online and send traffic to it!

But...
-I thought I needed X.
-So and so told me I had to Y.
-Everybody knows you need to W.

Forget about all that. Don't make things complicated when simple works just fine. Here's why...

The longer it takes you to see your first paycheck, the greater your chance of failure. Nothing is as motivating as getting your first sale online. And the faster it happens, the more exciting it is.

Who in their right mind would quit when they ALREADY made money?

How hard do you think it would be to make an offer and send 100 people who might be interested to it? Not very. And that should be the start of your online business journey. After you start seeing money come in, you can make it as complex as you want.

But if you want to succeed and make money online... keep it as simple as possible in the beginning.
